Issue with glamours on specific items?

Recently I was removing glamours from a bunch of gear in my retainer's inventory (not for any real reason, I just like having them be "clean"), and I noticed something strange. Normally, even when there's nothing available to glamour something with, it shows the gear in your inventory grayed out with "Remove" at the top of the list, like it does here:

But with a few specific items, they had nothing in the glamour menu at all and I couldn't remove the glamours on them, like here:

There's no rhyme or reason to which pieces of gear are having this problem, but I noticed while I was doing this process, the gear having this issue wasn't being grayed out in my retainer's inventory while the glamour menu was pulled up. It doesn't seem to have anything to do with item level, item quality, or the job the gear is for. As you can see, even some gear that's nearly identical is treated differently (in this case, casting and healing gear from the same sets). Almost all of the items have been worn before. The items that aren't grayed out in the following images are the items that are having the issue.

For some reason, the issue seems to be affecting more jewelry than other gear. I'm really not sure what to make of this. I think it actually affects anything meaningful and I don't have a reason to be worried that it would cause any harm, but I'm very curious to know what's going on here. Does anyone have any ideas for what might be causing it?
