Slow progress on Bug report. (small rant)

I just returned from almost a years break and I see that the bug report on the Death Scythe model still haven't changed for over a year since being put into the "Accepted Bugs" category.
And to clearify;
"Once reports with sufficient information have been checked, they will be moved to the Accepted Bugs forum.
Bug reports moved to Accepted Bugs will be investigated and confirmed."

Feels a bit sad, seeing how it's an item from a Collectors Edition, meaning there's actual real life money involved with an item that's been visually broken for a long time.
I had hoped that there at least would've been some sort of progress on the matter during my time away.

I'm just venting a little into the void.

It happens. Depending upon what causes it and how many people it affects, a fix could end up being low priority or difficult to fix.

Its also worth keeping in mind that with the graphics update coming in Dawntrail certain issues could be fixed there or become irrelevant. Or, resources could be spent fixing issues on the updated engine.

yeah, I get that.
Visual bugs aren't really top priority over stuff that might effect gameplay and such.

And like you said, with the upcoming updates with Dawntrail things might get fixed.
Who knows.
I just get the worrysome feeling that non-priority issues keeps getting pushed up and in the end just gets lost and forgotten.
Wouldn't be the first time or the first game where that happens.
But for an "exclusive" item where moneys been involved I'd think some more care would've been taken into consideration.
Just my personal thoughts.

I had a bug be accepted over a year ago now and nothing's been done about it lol. It's also graphical so I'm hoping if they're giving us new character models (or at least moderately updated) in 7.0 it'll be fixed, but (spoiler'd for large images):

The thread was moved into accepted bugs not long after I posted it, and usually the Accepted Bugs thread gets cleared of the bug once it's been fixed, but this is also still happening, which is a shame.

I'm surprised they even accepted it as a bug. I half expected them to just say it was working as intended.

Where bugs are concerned, there is always going to be a priority system in game development. Visual bugs on a single piece of old gear are less important than something that allows you to kill a new boss ignoring all of the mechanics, or a bug that breaks a certain job's rotation.

It may be improved by the graphics update in 7.0 or its patches, which will be upscaling everything to 1080p and adjusting textures and shaders on armor. That may be why they aren't bothering yet, because it might be fixed by this much bigger update in the expansion or its patches.
