Keeping old content relevant and tomestones

So I don't know if this has been suggested before, but I was thinking that we could link old content and maybe a tomestone cap break (Maybe an extra 450) re-doing old content. Cuz we're sitting on 48 raids rn which will become irrelevant once Dawntrail releases.

So my thinking was, maybe the first month of savage we can do A1S-A4S level synch and by finishing it each week you get an extra 450 tomestones. Cycle to O1S-O4S level synch on the second month, and so on (X5S - X8S for 7.2, and X9S to X12S for 7.4) ,Or randomize it, idk how to balance it, but i think it'd be good for a couple of reasons:

1.- Level synch will keep it relevant, and the stat squish makes the DPS check on these fights real easy (I think... i Haven't level synched them in a long time)
2.- It helps people gear up their tomestone alt jobs, and it's not easy enough to get geared too quickly (I can't imagine new players beating the 4th floor that easily)
3.- It would let new players somewhat experience the old content, while old players get to relive this content.

I think it would keep old content relevant to do in current patches even if they aren't exactly the same experience, do you guys think it would be a good idea?

Level sync isn't enough. It still makes them too easy. Minimum Item Level is decent and sometimes even that gives too high DPS.

I would rather it rotated through the raids once a week or once every few days and gave something such as Faux Hollows.

Another option is a Wondrous Tails that actually requires Minimum Item Level, or something similar to the Blue Mage Log which does occasionally motivate parties of blue mages to do a weekly clear of an old extreme trial synced, but it's far less common than the amount of people doing Unreals for Faux Hollows.

Yoshi-P has discussed it and agrees but he seems concerned about it making players feel they have to do it even though they already did it in the past. But the Faux Hollows system has already solved this problem by making the rewards available for gil for those who don't want to repeat old content.

Oh, right, that's what I actually meant, Minimum Item Level instead of Level Synch. I feel like "They have to" isn't really true since you can beat any savage starting with your crafted gear, it's just a way to get extra gear and extra rewards for other people down the line.

I mean, that's your opinion. From Yoshi-P's perspective and the perspective of many players, chasing rewards such as mounts is a big deal and a big motivator. If the only way to get a mount is to do it Minimum Item Level and it can't be bought with gil, then collectors HAVE to do it even though they already did it years ago. Whereas if it can be bought with gil, they have a choice.

No no, you misunderstand me. The use of the old content min ilvl wouldn't be for mounts or glams, it would be used for an extra 450 Tomestones (overcap), kind of like a wondrous tails to get more tomestone/savage current gear.

Yes, the idea of Faux Hollows which gives things like mounts was my suggestion since it's already used for other old content (scaled up Extremes that we call Unreals).

Tomestones is nice but, not that big of a deal. Could just do any roulette for that as well. Increasing the cap could be a motivator, but they also have the cap for a reason.
