New Crafting Class

Stop me if you've heard this one

SE is Due for a new crafting class...


I'm uncertain What to call it. Enchanter? Maybe?
Every aspect of the class would be Cosmetic (unless SE doesn't mind some Stat enchants, which would be cool, but would require a larger rebalance) and would include the following:

Dyes (including Emissives and other effects)
Particle Effects (including shapes, frequencies and remnants)
Stat Bonuses (maybe)

Potentially include unlocking a 2nd and 3rd color pallette for items (though, that should be available to everyone anyway).

Progressions:

Dyes --
color options
brightness levels (lower levels have narrow midrange bandwidth)
reflectiveness (metallic/matte)
other effects such as pearlescence or marbling (multicolor)

Particle Effects --
Shape options (Sphere, Shards, Cubes, Sidecount+)
Direction options (up/down/left/right/forward/backward emission or flow into object)
Remnants (flow from object / subject to gravity / spiraling fades / bouncing / refraction etc)

Stats --

This one is either super easy and flows with sub-stats, or immensely complicated and flows with Primary's...

Higher Levels include combining various aspects of these options.

Being able to color particle effects, particle effects having stats and colors. etc. etc.

Expand on it!

The existing crafting classes were made as a set, and between them they cover everything.

What's missing are TWO gathering classes that were designed but never released.

SE wants to sell dyes on the mog station. They will go poor with that new crafter :'(


There was 1 suppossed gatherer who could skin animals to get leather but what would the other one be?

The Shepard was the one of the two that was most fleshed out. There's just enough to imply that it would have been the source of wool and milk, instead of combat.

The 5th, well, there's little left of it, a logo that might have been it, but it shows up in the occasional video on cut content in ff14.
