Savage/Extreme Raids Duty Support

What does the community think of having Duty Support option for Savage/Extreme/Unreal fights? The only way to get proficient with these fights right now is with a Full Party of PCs, and it's difficult.

It seems like the hardest part to clear these fights is finding 8 people to agree on particular day and time of the week (static) to practice and learn mechanics. If that's what certain people want to do with their time that is ok, but there should be an alternative.

Having Duty Support will help all players.

I heard se had to dumb down mechanic in dungeons So npc can handle it. With that in mind, there is no way they will ever do that for savage. Your best bet is to put up a pf and offering gils per hour to have people practice with you

Exactly why we need them! I have done a lot of Duty Support, and they are harder than with PCs.

This is the new player forum and a debate like this would usually be had in the General or Gameplay forums.

I think that it would be interesting if players could practice it alone so that they don't waste other people's time, but not get any rewards for it, then once they are good at it they could clear it with other players for rewards.

The problem with Duty Support doing this is it means Square Enix is providing an official strategy. Their intention is actually that different strategies could be made to tackle the mechanics and Duty Support would hinder that.

What I think would be a better idea if NPCs are to be involved is to create a strategy using the upcoming Strategy Board system that the NPCs can then follow.

There are some challenges you can do solo at the moment though, such as the Masked Carnivale, Bozja and Zadnor duels and the 3 deep dungeons which all have solo achievements.

We won't get it if for no other reason than the devs programmed a normal difficulty trial with 7 NPCs, and they said it was a huge pain in the ass. I'm sure programming AI to perform EX or Savage level content would be even a bigger pain in the ass. Also unlike real players, they can't be communicated with so you have to do mechanics a very specific way with no real room for communication.
