Retainers Being Automatically Moved?

Yesterday:
Both my retainers in their nice location all is good.

Today:
Look at 'Retainer List' see they are where they are supposed to be.
Go there, they are not.
Go out, in, they are still not.
Summon them at bell and return them:
First one goes back to Limsa Lominsa (instead of Ul'Dah) saying that the ward (it just came from) is full).

Second one goes back to the dunes.

Two active Retainers now out of shop, for no explicable reason.

If SE wants to randomly kick out my retainers at least have the dignity to update the Retainer List to indicate this, rather than me spend half an hour hoping they will 'load' correctly due to max character count.

I think I figured it out:
My account got changed to not-renew or whatever. So was put inactive. I reactivated. But during this time it moved my Retainers out, but didn't bother to tell me about it and actually say they were still where they belong.

I want my money back.
