Character moving after hitting Enter key PC

I've been noticing lately on PC client since 6.3, that my character do randomly move in one direction after hitting enter. I am on controller UI mode, so enter opens and closes the direct type chat window. The movement stops when the chat window is open or when I click out of game window to change focus. The workaround is to click out of the game then back to stop the character movement.

I do have AMD 6550 and is updated to latest driver. I don't know if this is a bug specific to AMD users or specific to PC version because I had no issue on PS5 version.

Hello, I don't believe this to be a hardware issue. Here's a checklist I would explore:
1. Is enter bound to moving forward in game?
1.5: Is there an option for keyboard in the settings that has corrected or is the cause of this issue?
2. Is the controller driver the issue? In my experience outside of ffxiv xbox controllers tend to have compatibility issues. You can use an emulator software to convert it to a virtual controller which has worked for me in other games.
3. Is there an overlay or other software causing enter to be bound to moving or sharing the key or direction for moving?
4. Are multiple devices that have its own input plugged in such as a graphics tablet.
5. Are there corrupted peripheral drivers.

These would be avenues I would explore for said concern. As I don't use a controller for ffxiv I am unsure if this is a bigger issue. But regardless, hope this helps.

To expand on the response:

1. Enter key isn't bound to the forward movement and I can verify that via in-game key bindings. When I say character moves, it goes in random direction and keeps going that direction. I've defaulted the keyboard mapping for the game to make sure no binds are conflicting.
2. I am hoping this is not a controller issue as my controller is Xbox Wireless Controller connected via Xbox Wireless Dongle. Never had issues before.
3. I tried look into to see if Steam, AMD, or even Xbox Controller / Game Bar overlays affecting my movements and couldn't find anything. I did thought about disabling AMD Anti-Lag (low latency mode) to see if it affects anything, and since it only adjusts the framerate to match input, it shoulddn't cause controls to do anything.
4. I currently have wireless keyboard and mouse connected via the bluetooth driver.

I can confirm the issues still happens with the wireless controller disconnected. So I am going through process of elimination. I did look into sticky keys and making sure they're all turned off. I am wracking my brains trying to figure out why this is happening

Following from binding to forward, enter hadnt been bound to autorun has it?

Did you ever figure out what is causing this? I normally play on Steam Deck or my desktop Linux PC and this doesn't happen. But I played on my Windows laptop a couple days ago and had this happening. Not every time I hit enter, but often enough to be annoying. At first I thought I was somehow hitting the controller auto-run (LStick direction+L1), or my auto-run keybind (R), but my character wasn't running straight forward, instead running to the right. Even intentionally hit the auto-run keybind thinking it would toggle off, but they just started running in a circle instead, since auto-run moves forward and they were already moving right.

I'm always in controller UI too, as another data point. Seems it's only affecting controller UI, I haven't tried switching to keyboard UI to verify yet. But also oddly only in Windows.
