Should I bother trying to PF/DF for old contents? or should I Solo when I level up?

Hi, returning playing from HW era here.

I am preparing to get SB expansion when it is included in the free trial so I will have plenty to do from MSQ, New Jobs ...etc. I have done almost everything in HW, and currently only logging in for the Anniversary event Items.

Few things I am missing:

1) One HW Extreme Primal clear
2) About 4 Mounts from HW Extreme Primals
3) About 9 Alexander Savage Raids clears

I wanted to use those couple of weeks before SB to clear all those synced with a full party for fun and challenge but it seems no one is doing them anymore. Mostly when I create PF I get someone asking to go unsynced so they will clear it for me, but where is the fun in that?

- Is there a place where people recruit for such thing outside the game?
- Does DC travel help ? I heard there are specific servers for people doing DF, is it true?
- Should I just do them unsynced when I level up and focus on SB instead ?

You are correct. Old high-end (extreme and savage) content is not done synced normally. People only care about the newest ones and unsync the rest.

There are people who agree with you, including myself. There are small discord communities who do this content synced or minimum item level such as discord.gg/syncademy or discord.gg/ESbfFfV

The second server was originally for Chaos so you may have to DC travel for that one.

Clearing HW and below content unsynced solo is fairly easy if you're level 90 and geared. It's mostly SB+ that tends to get a bit slower(or requires people for mechs), which is what you'll need to PF for.

I don't know how active or helpful either of these places are, but here are a few EU based content syncing discords.

I will check out the discord you mentioned, and also the DC travel if that helps. Will also keep an eye for PF hopefully get lucky.
Otherwise I'll just wait to to level up and do them solo in the future.

It is mostly new players that do this. Some of them do it so much that they get into ultimates (the ones that don't drop the game during coils at least). They are often pretty good players compared to average because of the sheer variety of high-end content they've been doing. But they are also super chill and welcoming because they know that people will often be new to a duty. Part of what makes them better players is they take the time to explain everything to eachother.

How it works is you setup a party in Party Finder and then ping one of the roles in the appropriate channel to say you are looking for people to fill, so people can login to the game and consider joining. Likewise, if you have one of these roles and get a notification, you could consider joining their party.

But I mean, if you don't want to waste any of their time, it would be polite to have looked up raiding basics such as food, your rotation for the given level, common raid terminology. I have met a few people in these parties over the years, who don't know what a clock spot is and we've spent a considerable amount of time trying to explain it.
