Returning Player about Scenario

i came back to complete the Event for the 7th Umbral Age. I m trying to find any information about the root that i must take to complete only the content that has to do with the 7th Umbral Age...cause i dont want to complete the game at this state and lost all the changes for the Quest -cutscenes with voice oves - instances- primal battles the same content from version 1 to version 2 but revamped.

i mean that alot of content (version 1) its gonna be the same for low lvls -mid lvls in the version 2 and i dont want replay all the game from the begining i m allready 1.5 year hear.

i m hoping that i can max pug/monk and play only the scenario with Event for the 7th Umbral Age and when the version 2 came to switch and lvl up at lancer/dragoon and play the game with all the quests -main scenario thats still there from version 1 but revamped

The "7th Umbral Era" storyline isn just a single quest chain. It's the combination of the main scenario, class and job quests, Grand Company quests, and primals. All of this is changing or going away when 2.0 goes live, so now's the time to do it all.

And you won't be "replaying the game from the beginning" in 2.0. Your character and his progress will be transferred.

Actually, the Main Quest is not the 7th Umbral Era content. Parts of it apply, however.

However, the majority of the 7th Umbra Era content is added into the Grand Company-based questlines, plus some 'live' content.

That said, I don't think you can proper appreciate the Legatus without first going through the last main quest mission.

thats sad becouse if i ll be 50 lvl and have complete all the content of version 1 that is playble and in version 2 ...what i m going to do in version 2 :( how much content we going to have for lvl 50 :( and if i m going to switch to another class-job lvl 1 i cant follow the quest or story that my char has allready complete at version 1....:( anyway thanks all fo you for your time .have a nice day i m so confused about what i must do play now and be lvl 50 a version 2 or wait and play all the game revamped :( snif

Well, getting 2~3 classes at 50 by the time 2.0 rolls around shouldn't be too bad, there's 7 battle classes after all!
And well, the thing about the Main Quest is that... Right now, the end of it at L50? It's MORE OR LESS what you'd expect to be the point where you first meet Exdeath in FFV, it is quite literally the beginning of the story and first introduction of the villain.
The 7th Umbra Era content, mind, have a far better growth and expansion of the villain and store and is far more 'complete'.

So there should be, in fact, quite a bit more story in 2.0.

Bear in mind there is a good chance the level cap will be increased when 2.0 rolls out. Nothing is certain, of course.

And yeah, I mention the main scenario because the "proper" way to do it is to complete the main scenario before you get into the 7th Umbral Era stuff, since the very end of it is supposed to be your first encounter with the Legatus.
