Will we lose our LS and Friend List upon change to 2.0 client?

As the tittle says.... Will we lose our LS and Friend List upon chante to 2.0 client?

Considering they even got rid of the basic functionality in the process of "being different from XI as much as possible for the sake of it"..I say yes so be prepared. However 2.0's client is more "standardized" than 1.x client is..so we likely won't lose contact lists if they're smart. (So be prepared for the worst.)

I'm personally waiting for them to re implement something like POL, as much as people hated it (because they had to spend seconds getting to a game..oh noes) being able to chat with friends and family from across the servers was a damn nice feature when you transfer servers or had to rename yourself etc.

I wasn't a fan when they got rid of POL. i was surprised they did, at the time it made sense but I was still kind of against it.

It depends on how the data is stored. I would imagine it won't be lost, but if you're like me, I have a ton of people and my FL could use some cleanup. a wipe woudln't be a bad thing at this point. I can just re-add people as i meet them again. the people I hang out with a lot will either contact me or i'll contact them. Between the two of us we'll remember at least one name.

I LOVED PlayOnline...it just didn't get any updates ever for North America. I hope we get something like it for 2.0, especially the jazzy tunes that played. :3

Yeah I'm bias'd for it because I had more than XI and TM to play through it lol. I do miss a lot of the music that you could add..and wallpaper..and reading tribune through it. That's another thing I hope they do with 2.0's launcher..XI stood out from the rest of the MMOs mostly due to POL being something more than just a generic launcher with 3 links and artwork of the MMO you're about to play D:
