Mount based pvp, could it work

thread is a pitch for a new pvp mode using mounts. the mode sees you using your mount to complete an onjective to destroy the enemies base.

the gameplay is broken into 3 core parts.
> crafting weapons and supplies for your party
>building baracades around your base to prevent enemies entering
> killing the players to stop them entering or advancing.

so where do mounts come in and how do we balance them?
well this part is due to how we maneuvre the map

firstly, we have 3 ways of accessing a players base.
the first, is on land. and we use tarrestrial mounts to do this, the enemies can also use there and intercept yours. your mounts, much like rival wings. have set actions as terrastrial mounts, and when the hp bar reaches 0 you die. they have some bleeds/shields and CCs. aswell as a mp/tp bar that gets depleted using them and needs to regenerate over time. feeding the mount a potion/steak can refill the bar much like standard issue elixers.

the next route is submerrsible. mounts that work underwater like the mantarays, syldras and sharks are best here, by traveling in underwater caves you get to the enemies base and avoid the field conflict. there would be underwater based combat and espionage involved (hiding in caverns ect)

lastly, airborne mount would fly from your base to the enemies baxse. the people remaining at base not mounted could intercept you with cannons, and if you loaded up with supplies your party crafted. you could also drop artillery. again airborne combat is a thing here. with the same idea of skills needing cooldowns and regeneration.

so, say your new and u dont have these mounts, well thats ok too. because the game will provide 3 of them for you. 1 of each. and level 1 crafters can make basic supplies/barracades. with level 90 making more complex.

In this mode, the job u play doesnt mean anything, and job actions would be basic and the same for everyone. since this is mount based, now. mounts are how you play.
so why add a mode like this? well because what else can u do with mounts? pvp is boaring rn and this would be a great new exciting kinda pvp. with ofc mount/armour rewards. plus new pvp is a great way to kick off 7.0

this is all just an idea so please feel free to add ur own ways ud change it, or if ud even accept it as a pitch
