Retire the Retainers [Let's discuss (again)].

This is a call to retiring the retainer system.

It's clunky. It's overpriced. There are better ways.

Elder Scrolls Online gives its player's a craft bag (if you are a sunscriber) that you can craft directly out of; that auto-stores as you gather. It's a system that I have been wanting here for years that would be a major QoL improvement. On top of that; a centralized storage system (your traditional bank).

I am sure I am not the only one who feels strongly about this.

Retire our Retainers... or have them serve a seperate purpose other than storage; Ventures are still an ok system and the retainers could remain relevant through that alone.

Retire it and... do what, exactly? You can't propose ripping out a core part of the current inventory system without saying what you propose to do with it instead.

We can't just add all the item data to our main inventory – the devs have said before that they couldn't even implement their original plan of adding more pages of main inventory due to some short-sighted programming choices that put other data "in the way" and required the work-around of increasing each page from 25 to 35 instead.

Ah, yes, the classic argument of "some other game does things differently, why can't we just do it like that?" Because everyone knows changing game architecture is as simple as "just do it different."
