Take a page from League of Legends for PVP

Im not talking about the toxic chat, but the play modes and how it allows groups of friends to queue together.

As far as balance, its all in the matchmaking. Don't put a team of five individuals vs a premade group. Balance them out even if queue takes a bit longer.

Quite frankly PVP would be a lot funner and have more staying power with changes that allowed friends to play together.

Why is it that this MMO insists on solo experiences? People don't want MMOs so they can play alone.... Some of us do have friends SE.....

First they have to fix the netcode and we all know that is impossible

I'm 100% with Ath on this one. Premades versus Premades and solo vs solo.

I'd also be for a persistent PvP map zone. Once you walk into the zone...PvP time. There are safe zones where violence isn't allowed but if you step out you are free game. Make it an optional zone too so people don't complain about it. Well I mean they will still complain but not nearly as much.

Think Wintergrasp during peak WotLK.

If I recall correctly Dota 2 did something similar a long while back. You used to be able to be put on a team of randos vs a premade, but then they changed it so it always matches you with the same premade party distribution. So for example if your team of five had three people in a party and two other people in another party, the opposite team would have the same thing.

Only if we can keep the siege engines. Catapult trains were my favorite part of Wintergrasp.

They are afraid that 5 stack sweats will steam roll the randoms. Making solo queue only is a very lazy solution they picked. I think ranked can be kept solo queue only, But the unranked should at least allow duo queue like unranked feast back then... The only other option right now is to play scrim, But then you got to organized And coordinate all 5 people in your team.

I agree. Defend the workshops, capture others, some are anti-foot soldiers while others defend the siege units so you can take down the fort.

Even better? Each side has a fort and you are both doing it at the same time and thus need to divide attention and forces. One seriously lacking? Time to shore up your weakpoints.

I agree. There's so many pvp games out there that have already solved these issues. SE just needs to copy/paste the answers in.

There's not enough people doing it in the first place. The queue would not take 'a bit longer', it would either never fire or lead to uneven matches.

Matchmaking filters break down with populations as small as the PVP base here. Always have, always will.
