Did anybody smuggle out video of this fight?
Can we put together any guesses to the lore for it?
Way back in the day succubus got replaced with proto ultima to make room for it to be added latter, and the succubus didn't really feel like a filler boss.
These days, all the spots in the alliance dungeons, normal dungeons, and so forth all feel like they are filled.
So, any guesses where it might end up, and when?
From what I could glean from friends and screenshots, there's not much to go off besides 'she's in or near Radz-at-Han'; you can see the really colorful architecture behind the spawn point. It's clearly a unique arena that they've put effort into making, it's not just 'some part of Radz-at-Han', so she's probably going to be in that arena rather than slapped down into some other content. She's also fairly involved graphically; she's not an entirely new skeleton (I think it's the Shiva/Trinity Seeker skeleton), but there's a lot of new assets. So we're looking less at a Proto-Ultima and more at an Odin or Yojimbo, which were also Fanfest traveling fights.
Finally: because she's a tentpole fight for Fanfests, she reasonably can't be added until after the Fanfests, or else they don't have that attraction; the Japanese Fanfest is the last one, and I doubt they'd treat their home crowd like that. That basically rules out her being in 6.5, and possibly 6.55, although we don't have a date for that one.
All that leads me to a few possibilities as to what 'slot' she fits into:
- Hildibrand trial in 6.55. Basically doing Yojimbo again. Makes some amount of sense, since for all its shenanigans EW Hildibrand is 'based' in Radz-at-Han, and is hitting a distinctly Hannish climax.
- Allied tribe quest. This might be weird since they don't really put meaningful duty content in places that obscure, but evidence seems to suggest that it's also likely to be based in Thavnair at least in part.
- Some entirely independent fight added whenever is convenient, basically like Odin. That could be handy for the post-6.55, pre-7.0 downtime.
- A Dawntrail thing, at which point all bets are off as to where she'd get put.
They did put the mount in to get you to do all the cards. A boss with a rare mount drop (I can hope) that requires you to have gotten every allied tribe up to allied.... that has a particular kind of desire to me.
