Legacy: I'm screwed!
I subscribed 3 days ago for 30 days using Crysta not knowing about the Legacy Program. Now here I am, 1 day from the deadline and I want to pay for the remaining 60 days needed but I can't because the next billing date is on the 25th of July! Help me, I dont know what to do!
-
Like you said, you're screwed. It's not that big a deal really, it's just a discount, credits and a chocobo.
-
Change to the 90 day plan, and I think it automatically takes the next 60 off. But you have to do it before Saturday.
-
no, needed to register before end of May
-
My brother got it by paying 2 days ago but for 90 days but I think I really am screwed in my case...
Lusavari: I did change it to the 90 day interval, but it didn't deduct anything.
-
no he will not got it because in 2 days 90 days services is discontinued:
As we previously announced, we wish to inform our customers that we will be discontinuing the 90-day subscription option on Saturday, June 30, 2012. Beginning Sunday, July 1, 2012 we will only offer a 30-day subscription plan.
Unfortunately, if a customer currently on the 90-day subscription plan reaches the end of their billing cycle after the discontinuation of the subscription option, they will not automatically be switched over to the 30-day subscription plan. Instead, their subscription plan will be cancelled and prevent the customer from logging into FINAL FANTASY XIV.
We therefore would like to ask our customers who are currently on the 90-day subscription plan to update their contract period to “30 days” using one of the methods listed below.
- How to change your contract period while your recurring option is still active
1. Log in to the Square Enix Account Management System 2. Select “Select Service” under “Services and Options”
3. Select “FINAL FANTASY XIV”
4. Select “Options List” for the appropriate service account 5. Select “Update” to the right of “Period Length” under “Payment Details”
- How to reactivate your recurring option after it is cancelled
* Please note that customers will only be able to select the 30-day subscription option
1. Log in to the Square Enix Account Management System 2. Select “Select Service” under “Services and Options”
3. Select “FINAL FANTASY XIV”
4. Select “Options List” for the appropriate service account 5. Select “Update” to the right of “Period Length” under “Payment Details”
6. Select a recurring option you wish to reactivate from “Options Cancelled / To be Cancelled” and then click “Reactivate”
so no, neither you or your brother are part of Legacy

I thought the same thing. I registered for 90 day billing a few days ago and it scheduled my payment for July 2. I called SE customer support and they told me as long as payment was registered before June 30th it would be ok.. And they said you have till 2.0 Beta to register for Legacy after you qualify
-
How long did it take for you to get your confirmation? I changed to 90 day and didn't get any email or anything.
-
I think most of us who signed up for 180 days didn't see our confirmation e-mail until at least 90+ days later.
The math varies, but I don't see Legacy pricing as being worth the hurdle or stress at this stage if the following are not true:
1) The individual plans on making 2 or more characters on the same server.
2) The individual plans on being subscribed to the game for more than 12 consecutive or non-consecutive months after the release of 2.0.
-
OP: Did you register your game before May 31st of this year?
If no, you couldn't have gotten legacy anyway. If yes, just keep paying normally and you'll probably get it.
And if you don't qualify at all, so what? The entry-subscription is one dollar cheaper than legacy anyway, and still gives you one character per server up to a maximum of 8 characters. If I weren't going to get legacy, I would have gotten that sub and not care more about it.
