Is The Vault still the king of BLU “gil faucet” trash farms?
So I’ve been wondering since the blue mage level cap increase if any dungeon from the shadowbringers era has challenged the vault for sheer gil farming efficiency. Yes, I know there are are other ways to use BLU for cash, but I like the guaranteed “faucet” element of farming the first pulls of a dungeon.
I have no idea if dungeons’ gil payouts scale dramatically from expansion to expansion, but if they do, I’d imagine two expansions worth could potentially have a slightly different clear time and still pay out more.
The secret of the vault is of course the population of each trash pull, allowing the per-kill payout to stack quickly, so that counts out a lot of dungeons… heck it seemingly counted out all of stormblood! When I think of “early trash” population, the first dungeon that pops up is Holminster switch, which does have the pull of two bears, but also the big pull of all those mites.
I’m at work and my BLU is only 82 as of this post, so I can’t add much more to the discussion in the way of hard numbers right now, I was just curious if any shadowbringers dungeon has emerged as a challenger to the gil faucet of vault farming. Again, I have no idea if trash pull gil payouts scale, I’m just wondering!
