Blue Mage should be allowed in more contents. Squadron, Deep Dungeons, Eureka, Bozja
With "duty support" covering the whole MSQ soon, I guess they could revive squadrons for a bit for side dungeons, but there are not many of these anymore...
Could put them in variant maybe ?
Would have to wait 6.5 and portal to go the first for ShB dungeons to make sense too.
My suspicion is that all these systems run off the same Duty Finder roots, and BLU has been made to be excluded from all Duty Finder content unless Unrestricted or pre-formed party. And even those Squadrons and so on might seem like "pre-formed party" on the surface, it's not the same. So, for content that uses the Duty Finder backbone, but doesn't have Unrestricted options, BLU is just simply barred from entry.
At least, that's as best as I can make sense for why they can't access some of the solo-accessible content options.
The other consideration is how, for NPC-assisted dungeons, the devs tried to tune the NPCs to provide a slower experience than player parties as a tradeoff. You either get to enter immediately and go at your own pace, but it will be slow, or you use the Duty Finder for players and (usually) get a faster clear.
BLU throws off that timing balance and risks the meta shifting to players solo-clearing for fastest times, reducing the pool of users in DF queue.
All pure speculation, of course. But, gotta figure there's some reason or some thought for why BLU can't use the solo options otherwise provided.
