Kill a scion or send him/her far far away for 7.0. It worked with Minfilia and Lyze though...

i would love a dark twist to all this positivity themed expansion.

an ARR ending that quickly dispatches the scions... But this time for real and going actual places.

We haven't seen the full trailer and we haven't seen Krile (*sigh*) yet either, despite the hype around her increased importance.

6.1 was the perfect opportunity to shake up the main cast and 7.0 was the next best opportunity they had. Yet, they ignored it both times. I think it will simply never happen for the next 10 years.
They saw the success of Shadowbringers, so everything from now on will follow the same template until it doesn't work anymore.

I suggested that they kill off Sylvanus and Thrall, but nobody at Activision-Blizzard would take my calls after that.

Given that attitude, why should one of the Scions die?
