Food and Gear
So, my warrior is level 32 and I have a few questions about what food I should eat. I notice that if I don't eat accuracy food my hit percentage drops way down, so I am assuming that is the correct answer.
What about defense food? Is there ever a time I should be eating that instead of accuracy? Or if I am not lacking accuracy should I go for attack food instead?
As far as gear goes, should I pick the gear that has the most beneficial stats (STR, VIT, ACC, ATK etc) or should I pick gear with the highest defense first, and then ad the stats in with Materia etc? For example at level 39 would I be better with:
- Steel Mitt Gauntlets (Def 34 Magic Evasion 9, Str 2, Vit 2)
or
-Steel Gauntlets (Def 46 HP+28, MND 2, Parry 2)
Thanks!

Keeping your ACC up is number 1, then I focused on capping STR and VIT followed by atk power where ever I could fit it.

Your ACC needs vary greatly depending on the situation. In a full party you get a +10% bonus, so you may not need nearly as much ACC as solo. Misses breaking combos can be a major problem, however, so having high accuracy is often critical. So far I haven't really bothered with ACC food even though it gives you the best results when hardcore min-maxing because it's quite expensive. I recommend Marmot Steaks because, while not especially powerful, they are sold for only a couple hundred gil at NPC camps, so they give by far the best bang for your gil.
As far as DEF goes, it is extremely potent against regular mobs, so highly recommended for soloing and tanking swarms of enemies.
