Its been 7 and a half years. Put an Aetherite in the Dravanian Hinterlands.

No joke, this zone is STILL the most annoying zone in the game, despite being so beautiful, because it has not one aetherite.

There are no more lore reasons why they can't have one. Alexander is canonically dealt with. The Illuminati though still technically NPCs in the zone have been a non problem for years. Thordan and the Knights of the round are not chasing you anymore.

Just put an aetherite in the Dravanian Hinterlands. SOMEWHERE. Anywhere. There is one settlement, upgrade the settlement so that the goblins have an aetherite in their little ruined village. I don't care if we have to repair it for a mini restoration, just give us an aetherite. People still do old hunts, as well as gathering, and new players might find it a hindrance if they wish to play through that expansion. There are plenty of reasons to do it. Plus I've always wanted to repair the Hinterlands. I'm sure many other players wouldn't mind, even if it wasn't all of it.

You know what ? I completely agree and while we are at it just do a doman rebuild 2.0 there.

That also would be nice, though I don't mind it being frozen. It actually makes it kind of a relic, but if it helps with convenience, it would be a good thing. There are other aetherites in frozen environments, so its time it got repaired too I guess. :p

Did they ever give a reason you dont have one? Like.. was Alexander supposed to be eating all the aether in the area or something?

The only thing coming to mind is that hinterlands has a variable in the zone showing different things depending on how far you have progressed into Alexander. Maybe it was just another moment of weird coding back then.

While we're at it, can we have another aetherite in Azys la please. One in the middle?

Put another aetherite in the low-right part of Azys Lla.

Imagine being the most advanced civilization ever, and your only way to transportation from 1 point to another of the map is mounted.

It was a completely different reason but that reason doesn't really hold water now: they were going to put Idyllshire on the same map and not separate the zones, but they realized having Idyllshire in the end zone would overflow the zone too much and make it where people couldn't get in since it was the endgame zone during HW. So they moved Idyllshire and its' aetheryte into its' own zone, and have kept the aetheryte in Idyllshire and not in the zone map. There's no worry of having people locked out of the map now since Idyll is no longer the endgame zone.

While I don't find it too much to tele into Idyllshire, mount up, and leave, having a smaller aetheryte (or having the network around ruined New Sharlayan fixed up and working) wouldn't be a bad thing either.

Why do white knights not even know the lore of their own game

This is literally explained during the MSQ if you talked to the NPCs. There ARE aetherytes all over the map. They broke because of lack of maintenance.
