Why Are We Still Experiencing Login Queues?
I don't understand why login queues are still a thing. Obviously, it's been an issue during periods of high player counts following an expansion, and that makes sense. Also, some servers are more populated than others; thus, on worlds like Gilgamesh or Hyperion, a login queue makes reasonable sense. However, EW is in its twilight period so player counts aren't nearly as high as they would be post xpac. Furthermore, we recently saw the addition of a new NA Data Center. I transferred to Halicarnassus about 2 months ago and can unequivocally confirm that the server is pretty empty, yet I get put into a queue every time I load up the game.
So, why are we still waiting in line to log in? If there are server queues at this point in the middle of an expansion patch cycle, are we headed for another mess of 2002 and 3001 errors when 7.0 comes around?
This isn't a rant. I'd genuinely like to know if someone out there has the answer.
Just to clarify, I'm not a free trial player.
