Just posted in another thread but it was probably a troll thread so to keep the idea:
Thinking if you use the job specific mount the cast time is near instant, just as an added treat (ONLY in the open world, no instances including exploratory zones).
Reaper - transforms into either Wraith* or Diabolos* as the mount, unlocked via Reaper but of course can be used on any job once unlocked. Instead of digging through your pockets for the animation can be lift off ground, purple / smokey energy, release of power / transform.
*I like Diabolos imagery a lot, and kind of hope Reaper could get the form as a glamour or upgrade for the expansion (but wraith fits a bit better naturally, perhaps like Zero's form which is also pretty cool).
Dragoon - Jump, adds hulk / super hero jump (dragoon jump)- when landing on unlandable surfaces can have the stand on polearm Shaolin monk / Sun Wukong appearance with a semi-magical effect on the tip. The hyper jump is a special effect when pressing jump once. If you double tap or 'lift off' to enter flying mode like mounts normally do then you can some other different animation (and can fly as expected). If the jump mechanic 'can't' work in non-flying zones may need an alternate ground animation.. May suggestion a mix of Sun Wukong cloud and dragon effect, like when flying (not using the jump effect), and when on ground that they throw their lance forward it twin Dragons like one of their sfx abilities, leap into the effect, and it turns them into a cloud of energy with a vague dragon shape.
Black Mage - Ley lines, never leave home.
Bard - plays music that turns into a bed for them to sit on (constantly feeding the bed of notes that create the mount they rest on while they strum)- maybe can also play their music mechanic from the mount.
Dark Knight - Semi-Dark Arts animation as if they're pulling dark aether together to surf on top of their great sword
Paladin - Holy throne with vague Game of Thrones throne vibe (but holy), back should have a large shield on it.
Warrior - was thinking either like Godbert with his super run (mixing other animations from the quests as needed for flying), or perhaps when they lift off the ground they Titan tear a bit of earth up and fly with it. Lots of rage / red sfx, holding the ground from underneath. When moving up or forwards they'd be lead along by the rock as if the rock was pulling them (like Thor and his hammer, but a big boulder instead).. and when going downwards it would be like they're crashing into the earth. Stationary they'd be under the rock like Atlas and some sort of energy effect making the floating seem okay (staying afloat by sheer anger at the rock lol). When landing on the ground the rock crashes into the ground and breaks, and they will run along the ground similar to Godbert (super sprint).
Not comprehensive just because these were the ones that popped out to me in the moment, may add more later. Welcome for others to add to them too.
Naturally once you unlock it, it's good for all jobs.
Yes I am aware there are achievements for Tanks (and the unicorn white mage mount). Personally I'd like to see other jobs too, and also on that I feel the current job specific mounts don't really scream to me "that job", so was kind of hoping for something a bit more flashy and job specific. Like a bard playing upon a bed of notes, or a Paladin aloft their holy throne. Etc. Besides these could be part of some quest reward rather than run content X times (like a Warlock or Druid mount in WoW).
As for the instant mount, just thought it would be a cute semi-meaningless but fun bonus for using the thematic mount. I'd also suggest Chocobo's can earn it via some system (chocobo beast tribe, new chocobo leveling system, Island Sanctuary breeding /
choco ranch benefit, etc).

I don't think there should be anymore Job mobs than we already got, but that is my thing... they made them because people feared tanking so they needed a carrot to do such, which is only fair.
