Endwalker has certainly been a wild ride.
Small indie company really, no surprise there, cant have a proper QA team, I've already suggested a few times to do a gofundme to get them money to have a "special task force" and also a QA team since obviously those dont exist at this point in time, they obviously need more money as the mog shop purchases are all going to other projects
Well if they spend money to get a QA team then how do you expect them to build their solid gold and diamond encrusted planets?
It is getting a bit ridiculous, isn't it? I don't think any other expansions have had patches where they had to do maintenance 2-3 weeks in a row to iron out the bugs.
It's worrisome but I'm also curious if the game's age has anything to do with it.
I remember that their QA team was very, very large and they fix thousands of bugs in the months before a patch release, and get it down to just a few which are often listed as Known Issues or occasionally just missed. But it was noticeable seeing bugs for myself for the first time ever after covid became a thing.
Being bugs with a world visit or data center travel system in particular was always going to be something that would make them nervous because it involves transferring data and transplanting it into a different environment.
All the good devs aren't around any more thanks to the 2020 jab so we're left with the rest
