Is anyone else on NA servers having horrible lag in all content? I switched to an alt on another region and everything was fine. But as soon as I come back to NA its so bad that I can barely move or crash just taking a step.

I'm getting a bunch of delay input lag as well.
There's been a high number of DCing everywhere; you're not alone. Been like that for a few days now.
Ok so I am not going crazy.
Yeah, lag is awful, can't even craft properly without it failing or run some dungeons.
Greetings fellow Eorzean,
I'm sorry to hear that you have been experiencing these connectivity issues. Does the lagging lead to a full disconnect from the game? If you do get disconnected, do you get any error messages? I would also like to ask on what platform you are playing the game on and if you are using a wired or wireless connection?
We hope we can be of assistance with this. Thank you for visiting the FINAL FANTASY XIV Technical Support Forums!
Hi, I'm not the OP of this thread, but I've been having issues with lagging in this game for the past week too. I don't know why even, because it's been fine before that.
The lagging does not lead me to disconnect from the game fully. But it makes playing instanced dungeons or raids extremely difficult/frustrating because the connection would stutter. If I'm in a crowded area with people walking around it would look like they're constantly stopping and going. I'm playing on PC and am using an Ethernet cord, so wired.
Like with OP, I don't have this problem in the JP servers, at least.
"New servers" rofl
Yeah, I had some nasty lag in an Alliance Raid instance (Euphrosyne) just about 15 to 30 minutes ago on Aether/Sargatanas. Ran a traceroute to be sure, and as I thought, the traceroute picked up a high spike along one of the nodes in Sacramento, California.
So yeah, seems the new servers are having a few hiccups, or the route that NTT and some US-based ISPs are using anyway. Just throwing my two gil in.
EDIT: Just for clarification, my connection is Wired via AT&T, and I'm connecting from the Central Time Zone from the Standalone PC client.
Also not the OP but feel it best to just respond here instead of creating additional compounding threads.
Since Tuesdays (5/9/23) long NA Data Center maintenance, I have been having a lot of intermittent lag within instanced areas. Doesn't seem to matter which instanced content I'm participating in (observed in dungeon roulettes, alliance raid roulettes, Eureka, Eureka Orthos). Behavior will appear as if I'm on an unstable connection and everything on screen will just freeze in place randomly from one second and at worse up to five seconds. No disconnects have occurred as a result of this but it has made gameplay content difficult if not impossible to complete since time sensitive mechanics cannot be reliably handled. This behavior was not experienced at all prior to the latest patch and my setup has not changed after that patch.
Platform: PC (Standalone Client)
Connection Type: Wired, Fiber Internet
