I don't think anyone is having fun...

-Tanks aren't having fun because all of their aggro management is automatic and DRK, PLD, and I feel like GNB soon are getting melted into WAR.

-Magic and physical ranged DPS aren't having fun because boss hitboxes are the size of a football stadium making melee DPS hard meta.

-Melee DPS aren't having fun because all of their jobs are either getting lobotomized (Yes I know SMN got shafted, too) or have no true direction.

-Healers aren't having fun because 98% of their gameplay comes from pressing one button.

And I'm sure the toxic casuals will keep moving the goalpost until they get to the point where they believe comatose people should be able to do Extreme and Savage.

I mean some already feel entitled to free relic weapons with 0 effort it would hardly surprise me if savage and extreme got nerfed for their sake.

Yeah I saw someone asking for an easier way to get pvp rewards. Like, dude, maybe if you actually played the damn game instead of AFKing in Limsa you'd get stuff. It only took me a week to finish a Zodiac weapon.

Yeah no one is having fun but people want to act like having to play the game is asking for too much. I missed the days back when we had to earn Uptime or had to consider what we bought into runs.

I think there is a huge divide between what the modern fight design expects of people, and the rotational integrity and intricacy of jobs. Today it's only been about fight mechanics, fight mechanics, fight mechanics and nothing else but DDR. And looking at the most played jobs in savage, the 2 usual culprits crop up every time: SMN accounts for more than half of the dps caster base, and DNC for half of the rphys base. It looks like overall that people can't be arsed with rotational constraints and just want to go for the path of least resistance. The question being, is it the players to blame, or the design for it?

As a tank main, i don't want stupid aggro management mechanics.
I just don't want every tank to become the same by proxy because of War mains demanding endless buffs any time another tank does something better than them.

You don't speak for everyone. Plenty of people are still enjoying the game. You're clearly not, and trying to justify it by saying no one else is either. "Toxic casuals", grow up.
