Sync DoH Hotbars, DoL Hotbars

Please sync, or add the option to, hotbars for DoL and DoH (BTN / MIN) so that the like spells are automagically consistent across the jobs. (If basic synth is ctrl 1 on CRP then it is the same on WVR, if you move it to 1 on WVR so too then it is on CRP).

For example when things change or I realize I just feel more comfortable with certain keystrokes then changing the hotbars for DoH feels a bit annoying / silly since they're essential the same job with different recipes but I have to do it many times.

Similarly DoL for BTN and MIN.

Adding to that, technicaly it shouldnt be too difficult either.

For blue mage we already can have diffirent hotbar sets, which are dynamicly assigned to the hotbars, which indicates not all information is strictly assigned to a job slot. So for DoH and DoL we could also have this hotbar information stored seperately (especialy since its client side stored anyway), it doesnt matter if all 10 hotbars would be dynamic on that part, since it still only takes 3 storage slots (Crafter, Min/Btn, Fisher) in that case instead of the 11 we would have otherwise.

The only potential issue is that something that isnt unlocked on 1 of the crafters might already be displayed. Not everyone assigns abilities before they are unlocked (if a button is shown but unusable, some people do get confused quickly). But thats where i think a seperate option in the settings would help. Either you enable the global DoH/DoL hotbars, or you dont. Or at least make it possible to copy hotbars similar to how we can assign a glam plate.

You can use a macro to copy the hotbar from one class to another. Not perfect, since you have to go through all your jobs one by one and press the macro, but at least it is something.

If you adjust the hotbar on your Carpenter and then want to copy it to another class it is:

/hotbar copy Carpenter 1 current 1

you can add more hotbars to it of course.

/hotbar copy Carpenter 1 current 1
/hotbar copy Carpenter 2 current 2

and so on.

Well actually you can kind of automate it, but it needs a bit work.

The best approach is to change the gearset numbers of your crafters. Just like they are sorted in the game.

Carpenter becomes gearset 1
Blacksmith gearset 2
Armorer gearset 3
Goldsmith gearset 4
Leatherworker gearset 5
Weaver gearset 6
Alchemist gearset 7
Culinarian gearset 8

(and Miner gearset 9, Botanist gearset 10 and Fisher gearset 11)

Then your write the following macro:

/gearset change 2 <wait.1>
/hotbar change Carpenter 1 current 1
/gearset change 3 <wait.1>
/hotbar change Carpenter 1 current 1
/gearset change 3 <wait.1>
/hotbar change Carpenter 1 current 1
/gearset change 4 <wait.1>
/hotbar change Carpenter 1 current 1
/gearset change 5 <wait.1>
/hotbar change Carpenter 1 current 1
/gearset change 6 <wait.1>
/hotbar change Carpenter 1 current 1
/gearset change 7 <wait.1>
/hotbar change Carpenter 1 current 1
/gearset change 8 <wait.1>
/hotbar change Carpenter 1 current 1

Sadly we have only 15 lines available so when you want to change more than one hotbar at a time you need a second macro where you replace all the "1" with "2".

And of course you don't have to sort your gearsets in that way, but then you have to adjust the gearset numbers in the macro.
But it's all neat and tidy in the menu when you do it \^^/

Works also with cross hotbars when you use the command /chotbar instead of /hotbar.

Hm, maybe my thoughts were a bit too complicated ^^;

All good points and good ways to work with the system :)

I would hope for it to be more organic and smooth process, but until then at least we have some good suggestions here !

Your macros assume that the correct layout is on a specific class. Such an assumption is inconvenient. You will likely make a change on "whatever class I'm on when I think of a better way to arrange my bars", and then have to redo the change on the class that the macro expects to base all the other classes on. More convenient would be to copy from current to everything else:

That way you can make your changes on any class without having to worry about whether you're on the one that the macro expects you to be on.

Yes i assume the average player can drag the buttons how they see fit once. On the right class. You assume the same just without having to be on a specific job... even thought they have the same skills.

Edit: If you are going on about inconvenience: What happens when the player accidentally executes the macro while NOT on a crafter? With mine: nothing. With yours: all ruined.

With both out here, each player can decide.

Easily prevented by not ever putting these macros on non-crafter hotbars.

LMAO. Then put it ONLY on the crafter you have as a base or better yet: DONT PUT THEM ON HOTBARS. Is it that hard to use the macro menu?
