CC respawn
Why is respawn like it is in CC?
there is no rez ability so i feel there is no point having respawn like it is.
Currently let's say you die and there is a 10sec respawn timer.
Then you first have to wait 10sec for the timer. Then several second loading screen(with a ssd, don't dare to think how bad it might be for someone with an old hdd). Then another 2-3sec for the rez animation, so in the end that respawn takes more like 17sec.
Why can't they make it so when you die you respawn instantly at the base but you get an uncleansable out of action or something with the same timer, so you can't leave the base until timer is up.

I don't think anyone likes the respawn to be honest. At best it affords some game knowledge you might not have otherwise. That however is not very important thanks to the map you can check at any time. Sitting downed also opens the player base up to negative interactions such as people using emotes or jumping on top of you. I agree we should start the respawn timer already in base.

It'd definitely feel better with a longer countdown followed by instant release back into the action. Current optics are bad.

I assume they just put in the release system they had from Frontlines and every other duty this game has. At the very least, the 10 seconds + animation is probably very intentional for the ~17 seconds it is initially. Flipping the two would probably still make it 17 seconds (animation first, then being locked in the gate for 10 + #ofdeaths seconds). Maybe it would have been a developmental hurdle to put in a client-only side 'boss room is locked' gate or what have you to keep you in the starting position.
Players teabagging is shitty, but at least you can still mark or call for your team if you're down and out up in the fray? Beyond the map indicating positions, you can't select targets if they're too far away so you can't use the quick chat or set markers without very specific macro commands like /qchat "Blocking Target" <e4> or whatever.

While it does take you out of the action longer than the timer would suggest, it's not like it unfairly does it to you and not your opponents.

No, but it does it unfairly to people with poorer hardware.

I can chalk the long loading screen up to the server but having to sit there and watch the raise animation before I can run back into the action is pretty annoying.
