Ambient Sound Popping

So I've seen tons of threads of how people can hear a stuttering/popping/crackling sound when flying or even sitting in populated zones. The wind effects you normally hear when flying are when I experience a popping sound most often. I only started noticing when I came back from a hiatus (6.38) and personally haven't heard it prior to this (I went on break at 6.2).

I've attempted setting dedicated sound devices for the program as some have suggested and made sure drivers were updated and the game's files were verified, yet I am still hearing it often enough that I must ignore it or turn off ambient sounds completely.

Anyone find other fixes, or have SE just ignored this since EW came out (as some have attested)?

I also have this issue, and couldn't find any mention of it from other people. I think I was hearing it as far back as 6.15 at least, as I remember hearing it while flying around doing the Arkasodara quests. I've always wondered what it is, hopefully this gets resolved somehow.

This still isn't fixed in Dawntrail. The random popping sounds are really irritating. Can't find any fixes; just empty threads with no official support.
