NA datacenter a bit before prime time starts + hardly anyone uses Party Finder for dungeons, most of the people are in the High-End Duty tab, recruiting in the Other tab or do *gasp* other things in the game that don't require party finder.

If the content drought between major patches affects you because from all the content in the game you got nothing you want to catch up on, Yoshi P himself recommends to take a break until the next major patch (6.4).

Yes, but this is me recommending Yoshi P adding longer lasting content to the game. There could even be revenue in it. Subs are good for business generally.

Is that why auto demolish is a thing ? Because you're supposed to take breaks ?

Oh I see, you can take breaks guys, but dont forget to pay your monthly subscriptions to keep your house, else you are good to bid on houses for the next few years if you dare unsubscribe.

Okay so, this isn't me saying that the housing system isn't awful, but, if you don't want to keep playing because you already completed all content that you care about completing, why do you need a house? you are clearly not using it... again, in an ideal situation you'd never lose your house at all, and there would be housing available for everyone, but that not being the case, why have something you dont care about using keeping you held down?

In what way does that even make any sort of sense ? The game literally offers barely any content at all, a week into patch day, everyone already starts to afk in Limsa and pf starts to empty, because its just that bad, and people should be blamed because they want to take breaks from paying a subscription.. for a game that offers nothing at all outside of a patch every 5 months ?

A person taking a break doesnt mean they dont care about their house, or that they dont want to use it, it just means that the game is severely lacking in player retention and that people are extremely bored.

You cant just go around and start blaming players for taking breaks when the game offers such minimal content, but hey, at least they got money to pump those mog station glams and mounts, that gets released on a regular basis because at least they got money for that.

And it's not as if High-End Content (the one area that actually needs premade parties) was without any parties even then... (19 listings, as compared to this 1 listing for Dungeons, which have no use for premade parties).

...More broadly speaking, that XIV is still "growing and thriving" is generally out of touch or out of date except on major patch drops, especially on certain DCs, but this seems a bit cherry-picked.
