Not getting Hermes Shoes on character creation.

Details:
Made a new character after reactivating recently (wanted to get in on this Legacy goodness) and my character isn't receiving his Hermes Shoes.. I have an active FFXI subscription, of course, but.. yea.. I don't get it. It's been a day now (tried remaking him off and on since reactivating) and it's still not working. What's up with this? I don't suppose some kindly GM could flag me for the shoes after confirming both my subs?

Steps:
1. Create Character
2. Play through Tutorial
3. Open Inventory and become Disappointed at having no shoes. T_T

Type of Internet Connection: Cable\Broadband

You're way too late for the Hermes Shoes. This event, as well as the discounted price for having XI and XIV subs, is long since past. You'll have to play without them.

Nah, I got them just now finally. The server restart seemed to fix the problem.
What made you think I was too late for them? Besides I had them on my old character anyway as it was.

Yeah, I still got mine when I rerolled a few weeks ago.

I think it just takes a day or two for the two games to talk to each other in whatever way they do to make XIV know you should get Hermes Shoes.
