Suggestion: More audiovisual feedback for using a GCD ability

Hey!

You all know how it goes: in the middle of combat with all the different floaty animations and effects going on between you and the enemy even with combat effects dialed down all the way there is only one way to know whether you have executed a weaponskill or spell successfully right now and that is watching the icons.

I have had this situation a couple of times now that I assume that I am one GCD further in my rotation already, but in reality the last CGD wasn't executed properly for whatever reason. Doesn't happen a lot, but when it does it's annoying and to be fair it would happen a lot more if I didn't watch the skill icons so closely all the time.

A little bit of optional interface based visual or audio feedback would go a long way so that we can spend less time with our eyes on the hotbars and more on the battlefield.

Also feedback for executing positionals correctly would be awesome!

Make a hotbar that's just one GCD ability. Don't bind any keys do it. Make it semi-transparent and as large as you can. Now put it in a conspicuous place near where you always look during battle.

That's a good band-aid. I already do that but it's ugly and it's not as prominent as I would like. Something in my peripheral view would be nice.

Also how about something that shows you when the GCD is close to end, you know showcasing the beginning of the queueing phase for the next GCD? That would be awesome!

There is no official SE function that does that, which means it is not available in the game in any way. Definitely not.

I don't understand what you are trying to say here. I know there is no function like this in the game, that's why I suggested it.

There is audio feedback, actually. When a combo is not executed properly it clearly sounds different. At the start of Endwalker, the volume on tank combos was turned down and it sounded like you failed the combo always when you didn't. The visual feedback is on your hotbar with the next GCD glowing.

I'd love it if landing a positional properly had an extra audio tell just for satisfaction's sake.
