Cannot enter game since NA Data Center Maintenance (Error 2002)
Whenever I attempt to log into a character or switch data center from the game's title screen, I receive a 2002 Error and the game closes. I have made a bug report forum post here but since it has been moved to the Duplicate Bugs issue with no resolution, I need to make a post here for support.
Before the data center maintenance, I was able to log into and play the game normally. Now, whenever I select 'START' from the title screen or attempt to change data centers, the game attempts to connect to the server for a few moments before the screen goes dark and the error 2002 appears. Closing or confirming this error forces the game to close immediately after.
Nothing has changed regarding my computer (hardware or software), home network, or internet provider between the last time I had successfully logged on and now. Since confirming that I could not log in, I have attempted the following:
- Restarting my computer, modem, and router
- Attempting to connect to the game on a different device
- Updating firmware on router and modem
I have also contacted my internet service provider, with which we spent around an hour and a half troubleshooting the issue. My ISP suggested I reach out here and submit a bug report, as none of the troubleshooting or resetting steps were able to rectify the issue.
