A question about Novice Netowrk etiquette and certian mentors

I've been having trouble latley in my own servers novice network, with certian mentors kicking me for reasons that I don't think are legitimate. So I wanted ask here if they were.

The main reason I seam to be getting kicked, is when i ask for help clearing any kind of content, or if i ask to help another person clear any certain kind of content. I am being removed on the grounds that its not ok to post a party finder in the novice netowrk, or that its not ok to ask for help on savages, or post the pfs of others who ened help, even just with msq.

Does anybody know if these kicking grounds are justified, or unjustified.
sometimes i find too, after my kick expires 3 hours later, i am instantly kicked again before i say anything, the moment I join.

I have reported this mentor, but so far after 4 months it's not lead to any kind of action, and it keeps happening, i would like some help. thankyou! :D

Well how did you go about asking your requests? Are you posting one time and wait for interested people to respond or do you post your requests multiple times until someone answers? The former should be fine, the latter can get you kicked very easily.

if i was to post the part finder. i post it a single time with some text next to it like : hello, can anybody help this new player clear this duty for his msq.

if its my own pf i might say : hello, are there any players free who can help me clear this fight.

both of these posts have gotten me instantly kicked, with the justification being : you shouldnt post your own pfs or any pfs in NN

Every server has its own, albeit weird, Novice Network rules. Unfortunately, the clique of friends ~~mentors~~ that are loudest usually run the server's novice network and decide the rules. I don't agree with this kick, but it would seem that they have that as a policy for whatever reason. I imagine you were likely doing this multiple times and were told to stop once so they now kick you on sight. Again I don't agree with the rule so there's probably a missing piece to the story for them to feel this way towards you. My best advice is that if they are kicking you on sight, to world visit to another server and engage with Novice Networks elsewhere.

You would never be kicked on Marilith's NN for that.

But every NN has its own rules.

There are no specific rules as to what is and isn't allowed in Novice Network other than the regular ToS rules that apply in any chat channel in the game. The main and only purpose for Novice Network is to help new players. Asking for other players help in filling a party for a specific duty falls under that. So long as you don't repeatedly spam the novice network with your issue it's perfectly fine as a new player to ask for help for a duty in novice network as that is literally its purpose - to help new players.

The mentors that kicked you are pricks and likely view the Novice Network as their own global chat. Welcome to Novice Network. If I had to describe it in a single sentence it'd be: Imagine if FFXIV had Reddit integration.

I know what you can do .... here's the quick fix .... black list everyone that kicks you and ...... and .... all the people they talk to in the novice network ..... then anyone who kicks you or knows you've been kicked cannot see your posts .... (100%fix) I blacklisted 20 mentors and 10 sprouts before I could post securely... p.s. blacklist the talkers as well. They are the one who post stuff that doesn't relate to helping sprouts.

i think bl is only 1 way. i have asked this person to bl me 3-4 times now but they refuse

It is. You blacklist someone, they can see your posts but you can't see theirs. That about the only effect of BL. Personally, I find that the NN on my server is such a cesspool that I don't want to invite anyone to it and I have removed my own mentor crown on my main (will not become mentor on my alts. I like to help but NN is too often plain barbaric).

Sagacious probably just can't see the crap being posted lol

As for OP, I;d just start a PF saying they are new and would like help clearing some content.
