Ticket #22667400 - Customer Restoration

Greetings, team!

So, I started FFXIV back up a few days ago and was cleaning out a bunch of old characters.

Unfortunately I deleted my main character, which was the entire reason I was coming back. This was at like midnight, so I was exhausted - this is entirely my fault, but I am hoping for a little help here as a FFXIV player since the very beginning, and a Square customer since the early 90s.

Apparently at some point I restored a character, and am being told there is a one time restoration allowance for the lifetime of an account.

I can appreciate this restriction, but I do think there should be exceptions. I have countless hours invested into this character, and would love to continue my subscription so I can play him.

Is there anything I can do to make this happen? If not, I won't be sticking around. I have way too much of my time and heart in this little guy.

I'd much appreciate a little leeway here, if at all possible.

If nothing else, I'll gladly pay to have this done.

Seems a small favor to retain a customer of 10+ years. :)

They will not restore more than once.

To delete a Character you have to access a hidden menu and then wait 30 seconds while it warns you that deletion cannot be undone.

The only thing you can do is remake the Character from scratch and continue on, annoying yes, but you could buy a MSQ skip and a Job skip to automatically catch up to your previous progress.

If you decide to restart you can always visit me on Seraph and I'll Un-sync all of the MSQ Dungeons and Trials up to Lv63, after that you might need a bit more help as Trials have instant K.O mechanics (I have helped quite a few players in the past).

Yeah, I’m aware of the process. :)

I deleted a few as I had some alts. I was working down the list. When I started the 30 second timer I was half awake and taking care of some chores.

If you aren’t staring at the timer it can be easy to make this mistake, especially if you’re doing a few at a time.

It’s 100% my fault, but I don’t think it’s worth losing a customer over. That’s just my take on it.

Either way, I figured I’d shoot my shot. I got a lot of good time and memories out of my little Lala. If they don’t want to help, that’s their call.

Well, I submitted an additional ticket which was closed out. I tried.

Thanks, Square. I appreciate all the years of memories and fun.

In the future, maybe exercise just a minor amount of effort to retain loyal fans.

As someone who routinely goes the extra mile for his customers, it's worth it. Customer loyalty goes a long, long way.
