You assume much here. Solo parts of MSQ demand very little in terms of ability. You fail? They throw an even easier option at you. One of my friends is a lvl 90 with 620 gear…she tries really hard to get better but although I can see some progress, I’ve come to the realization that she has zero raid awareness and will remain permanently bad at the game despite all the efforts she puts into it.
The vote kick failed, others were prepared to run with that person, you chose to leave, knew the consequence and that’s on you. One has to expect that some runs are going to take longer than others when going with a matched party. 1/2 hour isn’t the end of the world. When I take a penalty (I run out of patience sometimes too), I just craft potions for leves, check my retainers, get a drink, do laundry, go for a walk or jump on an alt (penalty is tied to character and not account).
You don't have to skilled at a job to hit level 90. You definitely are not guaranteed to be competent let alone good at it. I got NIN to 90 recently and I honestly don't have a clue about how it should be played because I don't enjoy it enough to find out. I will admit I'm not going to go into a roulette playing it or any of the other jobs I don't enjoy enough to learn to be at least competent when I can be playing a job I do enjoy and took a little time to learn.
Getting the "latest gear" (with the exception of the Abyssos gear) doesn't require any sort of skill at all.
You don't know that they are slumming purposefully at all. You're assuming it.
Okay, you've made your judgment about this person based on your search info and/or Lodestone stalking. You put through the vote kick request and the other players reject it because they don't see this other individual as something holding back the group.
Instead of allowing an extra 10 minutes (if that) to complete the duty and get your roulette bonus, you decide to punish yourself with a 30 minute wait before you can start over.
You did it to yourself. Nothing needs to be fixed.
Do yourself a favor and get over your elitist standards in roulettes (you're welcome to keep them in Savage where they do have some legitimate purpose). You're going to run into players who just don't play as well as expected on occasion. You do not know the reason for it unless they choose to tell you. They could have learning or medical disabilities. They might have just hit level cap and are still trying to figure it out. There could be any number of reasons.
If it bothers you that much to be in a group of random players where someone isn't performing well, don't queue solo. Queue with a party of friends who meet your standards.
All roulettes can be cleared even while carrying somebody. The time spent in the "30 minute penalty box" and complaining about it is likely much longer than if you just buckle down and complete it. Keep in mind... the whole point of the roulette bonus is because you don't get to pick the duty. You get what you get, including the other members. There are good days and bad days.
