Taking actions against gathering bots?

Hello.

Why is action to take against gathering bots so slow?

Botting has always been a problem, but seeing bots gather the same node makes me feel like I'm wasting my time doing it properly. While it technically doesn't affect me, it affects the market and the prices I can sell the stuff for.
I reported the few chars that I can say with 100% certainty that they are bots and month later they are still there.
I know they try to employ bans in waves, and fix these issues on a larger scale, but this is unacceptable and discouraging imo, feels like they need to tackle bot and RMT spam more seriously. :(

What do you guys think? What else can players do against this?

Out of all the bots leave the gathering bots alone I aint farming them crystals :P

SE gives a detailed report on what they ban, they ban a couple thousand rmt shouters and 1-3 player bots per 2 weeks. I'm fairly sure that those 1-3 player bots either talked about it in game or their script broke. Meanwhile you can zone into Diadem or Limsa and while you zone in you will stumble over 5 crafting and gathering bots.

This isn't new either back in SB 100s of players would fate grind, fly in a perfect pixel line from 1 fate to another to get exp ... ignoring the maiden that doubles the exp. Same happened during the Yokai fate farm.

Its sad but ... look the other way, if you report them, they will still be there the next time you see them. The only thing that gets clapped are the RMT /say bots, which run on a script and are replaced the moment their banned, a giant treadmill SE actually can not win w/o further restrictions to the trial accounts. The only thing that would work is disabling /say and NN access which would also kinda suck for real trial players.

Crafting new gear within days becomes kinda worthless even in endgame, a player can not compete with a bot that farms materials while you sleep, to then craft them with nq mats. You have no value attachment to an item you basically got for free, so what if it would sell for 500k if you have 5 for free and you know another 10 players also have 5 for free ... the price will spiral and crash.

This has happened in every patch starting in SB that added gear.

If they banned all the gathering bots Skiros would lose all his forum accounts... So that'll never happen.
