why was the one-time password really made visible surely we all have more complex passwords then a 6 digit number and that is still obscured , it just makes me think...

Because the 6 digit number is randomly generated based on a mathematical formula, which expires after a couple minutes. t's not a static number...

Being a randomly generated number for each log in attempt, it can't be memorized and muscle memory won't help unless someone is very good with typing and/or 10 key skills.Quote:

The OTP, once used, is not usable again. SO doesn't matter if it's visible. Once you put it in and click next, that current number is now unusable.
