Hamlet Supply Exploit?

I debate whether or not it is an exploit but it may be worth some value to switch the Hamlet items to R/Ex (U/U). This is primarily because, as the system stands right now, ranking in the top 10 is a function of time multiplied by the number of players with free time. The current method almost seems cheap when entire linkshells can dump all their items to one player and then rack up 2mil.

Now, I'm in a shell that does that and we reap the rewards. But that doesn't mean it isn't cheap feeling. At the very least it seems unfair to casuals. And, while I prefer harder content, this game is comprised of (and will become more so) casuals.

Nothing says you cant dump all your mats onto the casual....

and its even more anti casual to make them all U/U when thatl make all those casuals have to take all that extra time to farm to even stand a chance...for a run in which they wouldnt have time to participate much to begin with


but honestly, it doesnt matter as is, let people do it how they are doing it, when they get past needing those seals the next group whos willing to donate the most will muscle in and so on til we all have what we need

I'm willing to buy. But why? What logical and balanced reasons can you present that counter opposing views? Like I said, I'm one of the people with lots of time and I benefit from this but that doesn't mean it's cheap.

That's not entirely true, though. If you limit the most hardcore to the logical two-day farming cycle (10 hours of farming before fatigue) then they can't top out above 500k. This means that people who can only gather 100-150k worth of materials have a high chance to be in the top 20. Right now the top 5 are north of 1.5mil and the top 10 are north of 300k (on our server, at least.)

Hamlets about working together. There's a reason why not only your name but also your linkshell is listed when offering items. It's to show what group you are apart of and if x person is getting crazy numbers then odds are it's because of the effort of the LS as a whole and he's nothing more then the one who's turning it in.

Though if I'm not mistaken the medals which increase in drop rate if you are the Top 3 are rare/ex so odds are LS aiming for those medals will take turns aiming for the top 3 and working hard in stockpiling mats/gear to turn in for each person so they can get said medals with greater ease.

Though here's a thing to think about. What if hamlet changes one free companies are released in 2.0. What if the "LS" name is suppose to be your Free company name and those affiliated will be granted the Hamlet boost rather then the single person. Odds are the system could change to this upon 2.0 so that rather then 20 people gaining a boost it would be 20 free companies gaining a boost during that round.

if 100-150k isnt enough for top 20, you are on the wrong server.....
right now you can easily squeeze in most days with 50k on balmung, its the top 3 thats painful


every server will be different but one thing is the same

work for it and youll get it

you CAN NOT cater to the casuals in every aspect of the game or those who are not willing to work for it, or work as a team to do it

this is one of those cases where teamwork beats all


and as i stated, eventualy, itl die down, people will get their seals, they wont donate as much, the next person in line will move in and start getting theirs and so on and so forth.

itl slowly trickle down as many people get what they need and move to the next step, itl just take time

and using now as a comparison for everything is bad cuz its still so new that everyone is in a rush to try and get them first
