My launcher closes when i try to log in

I'm sorry to hear about this! That looks to be an error "16A". I'd recommend performing the following steps, as most players have seen success with alleviating this error through this:

1. Go to the [C:] Drive > Documents > My Games > 'FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn' folder
2. Delete all contents in the 'Final Fantasy XIV' folder
(Please note, this folder contains your UI, key bind, and personalization settings. If you wish to keep those, I advise creating a copy of the folder and placing it somewhere else on your PC before deleting. After you have performed all of these steps and the game is running normally, you can simply add the copy back into the folder.)
3. Right-click on the folder itself after deleting the contents
4. If it is set as "Read Only", please uncheck this option
5. Lastly, please re-launch FINAL FANTASY XIV
