They did, called rival wings, but………looks like they given up on both that and frontlines. Just focusing on Crystal Con.

You want 2 teams? You better get rid of battle high entirely. Otherwise, you may as well add a surrender button since that is what will happen if one side dominates under that snowballing system.

Oh I've wanted BH go to since I stepped into pvp, as another poster aptly put it "It makes the rich richer and the poor poorer". I myself have said in the forums that if your team is good enough to steamroll you DON'T NEED a friggin dmg boost/reduction.

In theory the third team is supposed to be there to slow down a team snowballing to victory by ganging up with the other team against them (obviously). Not gonna elaborate why this doesn't always work, but then we run into a couple of points:

- Removing that third variable means that a team that is winning in a 1v1 scenario, will always have most of the time all the BHs, and steamroll more and more as the game progresses.
- Even without a BH system, you'd still get better results by just farming the other team to death than actually playing the objectives. If anything, if the bulk of the winning team keeps the other team busy, objectives on most maps can perfectly be played by a smaller group of individuals. We already this happening at times in CC when the game are lopsided enough to allow one team absolute map control, and FLs is even more about map control with a lot more people involved. The only map where this wouldn't possibly be a total issue could maybe be Onsal since it's smaller, more open and objectives spawn at an accelerated rate and with multiples at once (seal rock is similar but too static and points can be recaptured).

However that virtually never occurs (at least on NA) it's always the lowest points team getting piled on by the other two, it's exactly zero fun to have no points and trying to fight off 48 with 24. Dragging cc into this with regards to the two team system is disingenuous as it's two tiny teams against each other, meaning that each player has to play at their best to win. And in the case of ranked, that means unranked can be thrown against gold, I had one team that was one silver, one bronze and the rest unranked and we got put against a full team of gold, probably don't have to say but we got completely obliterated.

Most common occurrence ever:

My team gets a slight lead. Both other teams start zerging us. One of those teams start getting loads of free node.
Other team doesn't notice, goes full tunnel vision unga bunga.
We lose because 2v1 the entire match and one of the teams was literally throwing, lul

3 way fights in large scale pvp is the only way to balance things. If it was a 2 way fight it would swing way too hard in one direction or the other.

Let's be honest the three-way system is just there from a time when they were trying to push the Grand company choice matters thing. It's never going to change as they would have to reimagine the maps in general and that's way too much money spent on PVP. If you have ever played Rival wings, which is the answer to this, you would know that it's usually lop sided with one team getting the swirly. I think you need to stop worrying so much and just enjoy the large-scale interactions for what they are, Casual PVP.
