Making the transition

Hey guys, new to the game. I'm very sure I know the answer to this question, so it's more of a confirmation to make sure I'm going about things correctly. So my pug hit 30 tonight, and I've got the Monk Class unlocked. Am I safe in assuming that Monk is pretty much a party job?

That was the intention.

Classes = Solo and small parties.
Jobs = large parties.

Like it was already said, that was the intention but you can still solo easily with jobs.
