Separate Au Ra horns from Face

As the title reads

there are NPCs such as Yugiri & Mide who have different au ra horns - but in character creator, Au Ra cannot choose these horns with those faces. Horns are currently locked to faces
Unlock horns from faces.

Would also love to see more scale & horn customization such as:
horn piercings (gold and silver) more scale coverage, scale colour tints (yugiri has pink on her horns)
As well as getting Yugiri's hair. It doesn't clip- during the Halloween event, I was able to run around as Yugiri & did every animation I could, her hair did not clip.

This will probably die & not gain enough traction but I'm throwing it out there & intend to keep this thread around like my hairstyle one.

An option without scales and horns all together would be a good thing, kind of like a hyur/aura hybrid, it's just an option really, but your idea is a good start

That's already an option: Hyur. You can just roleplay it's a hybrid! :)

100% in support of being able to choose the specific horns we want. How this wasn't thought of during the race's creation back in Heavensward is a mystery to me. Tails should never have taken precedence over horn customization. I would have thought such things would be glaringly obvious.

The many times I've wished during character customization that fem Au Ra face 2 could be paired up with the horns/scales for face 1...

People have wanted this for yeeeeeeeears. Speaking as someone who's currently happy with my horns and face, I agree with you OP. More customization options are a good thing. It would be nice to have this. There's no reason not to.
Now, because it's these forums, prepare for people who come in and tell you why you don't actually need this, or why they think it's ugly so nobody else should be allowed to have it, or why SE is simply too small and too indie to even consider it, or that there are other more pressing things for the team to deal with first (why can't they do both?). Bonus points when people who have as much knowledge about the game's programming as you or I come in to try and give a tech explanation of why some QoL feature is "not possible" only for it to get implemented a year later or something (looking at you, guy who told me overmelding couldn't be automated like it is today because of technical debt only for them to implement it; had enough of the LARPing-developer excuses tbh).

Anyway, bumping to show support even though you're literally better off screaming about this in the xiv discord or just @ing the company on twitter since nobody important checks this place.

What I would like is for SE to separate Au Ra horns from their face as the OP suggests. But then to put them on top of their head like a normal oni/dragon-ish/demon-ish horned fantasy race and give them proper ears.

Ear horns already clip through the sides of a bunch of full face helmets so it's not like having them go through the top would be any worse.

Definitely supporting this, I love face three but the crabby horns are far from being my favourite
