Theory (Spoiler alert)

So I thought about something, IF Hydealyn is a primal like Zodiak. Does that mean from all this time we were just tempered by Hydealyn and she just used and manipulated us so we kill Zodiak? Like what happened in the First shrouding the whole world in light it's not because she is supposed to be the light that is a good thing. So what if from the beginning we are just slaves for her even in the DRK ARR quest Fray tell us we never wanted to be a hero and that it knows that because Fray is us.

Although there has been a bit of retconning going on, play through EW's story, it explains the situation (basically

the Blessing of Light prevents aetherial manipulation like tempering, which is a spell Venat created before she became Hydaelyn.

And incidentally, exactly how much of Hydaelyn really is a Primal and how much is just Venat's natural Ancient transformation ability as an Unsundered is a very good question (think Emet turning into Hades at the end of ShB).

Basically, no, the WoL is not tempered by Hydaelyn. Reincarnated by her endlessly throughout history yes, but not tempered (that was just an old headcanon theory from years ago that never had much weight).

I think they mean the Lore forum, where discussions about the storyline are usually done.

Not really worth reposting this to the Lore forum though; as Enkidoh said, it's not a new theory and it has already been debunked by later parts of the plot.
