super rare random and chained auto-emotes!

if you wear a Vanya robe: .02% chance of tripping over the robe and busting your ars every time you begin to run.

if you're Roegadyn, and stand inactive and afk for more than 45 minutes, there's a .02% chance f falling flat on your face, then start snoring.

etc etc....some extremely random events :D very minor stuff, but things that make you smile, or scare you out of your seat and wake you up when they happen, just like real life!@ ^^ Se could have fun with this, and make certain personal events seasonal, or even something that triggers other rare events...miqote sneezes > Roeg rips one > Lala starts breakdancing > then everyone in 25 foot aoe start laughing!

city only chain emotes: someone starts a wave, if the person next to them /waves back in time, there's a chance of started "the wave" throughout the city!

team emotes: someone starts /ymca, you get a popup asking if you wnat to join, if everyone accepts it, you do a cheerleader version of YMCA as a team, haha.

I do like how SE has been adding some physical comedy to some of the emotes lately. I always chuckle when I see a Roegadyn climb into bed.

I think some fun idle animations would be neat but I am not a fan of anything that interrupts walking. No random tripping please. Smash Brothers Brawl has taught me that much at least.

Some of your suggestions however are a little over the top. I am a fan of silly idle animations, yes. Starting a wave throughout Ul'dah however? not so much.

I was kind of hoping they would explore idle animations a bit more. I notice the retainers have got some serious wiggle to them. A shift of the foot here. A crossed arm there.

It would be neat to see some stretching or rolling of the neck if you stand in place long enough. An auto-doze with eyes that remain closed if you /sit for too long and the like.

yeah, my examples were just to show kind of extreme stuff is possible to get my point across. but I'd love t have random noises, mini-emotes, etc. if the AI were up to it, wouldn't it be cool to have your char remember and learn your social behaviour in certain areas? then after some weeks or months it starts randomly winking or cheering for your friends as come into view in cities :D ofcourse this would have to be an AI ability that could be switched off, but while it's on, it would be just great if it could "learn", and interact with you.

you could SB with each class you own :D the more you interact with friends, the more social abilities become available to you when around them. man, there's just SO much that could be done in this area.

for the chained and special "buddy emotes" a new toolbar item should pop up when they're available to use. just click, and open the window to use them!

Some context sensitive emotes could be going to the miners guild and buying beer for 100gil each ... down 5 in quick succession and stagger along drunk for 10 minutes lol

I'd like to see achievement emotes, like /blowkiss motion (notice i put MOTION there lol) with the same person 1000 times to unlock kiss (an emote that needs other persons permission to activate maybe?

There was a game that allowed you to pick up other people with their permission... it was handy if you were traveling somewhere and needed to AFK 5 mins... pick me up and take me there! hehe or even better... to ride the same mount together! .. it may have been two moons or perfect world or something...

hah yeah, that's the idea ^^ I imagine we'd get insanely creative with how we used them also. and that would be awesome to have breed specific stuff as well, picking up someone and taking them somewhere else with their permission seems very Galka/Roeg like. maybe Lala's could have the ability to wake snoring afk'rs :D and miqotes can silence them, etc..

I would rather see people that AFK all day disconnected.

Nice ideas, I like the concept of auto doze or sneezes if idled too long. Or even a drunk looking expression if you drank too much "grape juice".

I'd love to see personality based animation changes. Right now we're kinda anchored to all miqote animate for emote x this way, all hyur female animate for same emote that way. I kind of feel like some of the animations chosen for my race are out of character for myself, or feel jealous that a different race got a better animation for an emote than I did. I wish you could in character creation choose a personality setting like, serene, shy, gruff, sexy, hyper, childish..etc and have the emote be based off of that instead of race or gender.

That way if you want a character to be more sexy, they act on screen more sexy. If you wanted a character that is more cute, they act more cute. And even if they're both hyur female that look alike, the player's personality projects visually through them and make them unique. Probably not possible due to memory issues and cost, but one can dream.
