Then come to a middle ground, put the emotes on a separate sound tab so I can mute emotes. That way, I can suck the fun out of my enjoyment of emotes instead of the expense of everyone else.
It really should only play for the person doing the emote imo
If they do add a emote bar for volume adjustment, I only ask they roll in that "whoosh" sound effect that occurs on Job change to such a bar. I hate when I'm shopping for gear upgrades via tomes or looking at diff glam options on the Market Board and I feel like a jerk spamming my Job changes over and over. I mean, I catch myself doing it and proceed to stop, even warp away to another MB or something but it would be nice not having to worry about it if that particular part of the game can be adjusted at any time on another player's end should other players find it annoying.
Unless ofc this sort of thing is already rolled into something like the performance volume slider or something. In which case nvm lol
having a separate audio channel for emote sfx is the best solution.
