Night Time Darkness
It could be me only but when I saw the new pictures of 2.0. The shadows looked amazing. You can see how dark it gets under a tree. This makes me want the night time to turn a lot darker where it scares you to explore areas. I saw a post somewhere where 1 GM took this up to devs but I'd like to know if it was considered.

Please add light spell please, or a torch for melees.

^^^ Fire spells, Holy, and Ifrit weapons should light up the area =P

Where is my +100 to light radius item....

I think many of the nighttime areas under certain weather effects are way too bright. The clouds at one in the morning should not be bright enough for there to be HDR bloom wrapped around your character.
I think it would be too much for the game to be entirely pitch black at night, though. There should be enough light to see enemies (and friendlies!) as far away as they pop into visual range, but i think that further away than that, it should be so dark that you can only really make out the contours of where the hills in the horizon are.
I have the same complaint for FFXI actually. The nights never really seemed very dark.

Thunderstorm in Limsa is very dark. That's how dark it should be on a daily basis, with weather effects further darkening it xD

I agree!
And having heavy darkness at night gives a whole new lot of possibilities for the devs to toy with and introduce content.
I'd personally be happy to walk around with a torch at night instead of continuing as if it was day all the time.

According to the latest producer letter, that's what they're tinkering at at the moment :D
