Quest: Gosetsu and Tsuyu needs a bit of repair...

The quest says to: Speak with Hien at the Kienkan. (It does not say take the ferry to the Enclave)

So if you open Teleport and port to the Enclave you cannot do the quest, there is no guy in front of the door to let you in.

You need to run down to the ferry and take it across the river and THEN turn around and take the ferry back to the Enclave and then the guy is there to let you in.

Either the quest needs the text changed to say: "Take the ferry to the Enclave and talk to Hein at the Kienkan" OR make is so the door guy shows up if you teleport in.

Either way you need to let people know that they need to use the ferry to get to the quest and teleporting to the Enclave won't work...

I noticed this as well when redoing MSQ.
When this quest released, there was no Teleport available to the Enclave. SE have had it later and they probably forgot to adapt the quest indications.

Oh dang. Have you filled out a bug report for this? Seems like something that could be easily fixed and it'd be important to do so as well.

It's not a bug. It's working as it was written, it just needs to be rewritten a bit so porting in works.

I feel like a lot of quests should be adjusted to have an 'Optional' before it, showing HOW or best method to get to said place. It's insane that so many quests are hidden behind instances that force you to talk to an NPC to get into, just super confusing overall for an MMO stating to be newbie friendly. It's been a major pain-point since the beginning, and there's been nearly 0 effort to help it.

What even is usability anyway?

I would not say Optional, but I would like to see a "Story" mode for dungeons so you can progress the MSQ. I am in my 60s, broke the right wrist twice and the left one once; numerous dislocated finger joints and a shoulder while I was in the military. I do not have the reflexes of a 30 year old anymore. I just cannot get out of the goo that fast anymore.

There is no possible way I can keep up with the younger crowd and I cannot progress the MSQ so I get stuck (thought about quitting several times) until a group takes pity on me and drags me through it. It sucks.

I can't unlock new zones, run the fates, mine the stuff because the zones are locked behind the MSQ that I cannot progress...

A Story mode would change that. No exp or loot, just a quick run through the dungeon/trial so I can move on with the MSQ without having to quit and find another game I can play.

Of course, Story mode is optional and all the young ones can still do it their way, but at least I can play too...

While it's not a bug, it is a technical issue, so filing a report will help it be addressed. The same thing has occurred in previous quests, where, "certain" criteria were altered and it caused a bit of an issue, even though the quest was working as intended. Most notably a quest from the SCH and MCH questlines that required the use of a specific skill.

Make SE aware and something will happen. They can't catch everything.

Thanks. Not trying to overhaul the game, but I like it and would like to play it, but it is very hard at my age... Sucks. A lot of tap dancing I can't do anymore...
