So...what was the point of the new inn quest?

...was it just another quest to add? I hope it leads to more. I probably wouldn't feel as let down by it if Hildibrand had been in it instead of just a mention.

I feel (hope) that they're gonna add more to this little questline...I mean, for a new quest to have just a simple type plot was a little disappointing.

And Hildibrand is an interesting, if weirdly funny, npc that I want to see more of. He reminds me of the Grand Papillon from Shadow Hearts 2 so much ;)

This has probably already been addressed, and if it has, I apologize. Just curious of others' thoughts on the inn quests. Do you think they'll continue into 2.0? I wonder what kind of turn they'll take?

I have the wanted notice but I never seem to get the quest when I log off in an inn. How long do you need to be offline for in order to get the quest?

Honestly I'm not 100% sure. After getting the notice, I got the quest after being logged off for a day. Makes me wonder if it might be random like the nightmare appears to be. But I could be wrong.

At some point in one of his letters (way too lazy to find which one), Yoshi P mentioned that he was happy that the characters from the original inn quests (which unlocked the inns in the first place) were so well received. I'm not sure whether he implied more quests would be added or not, but I feel these new quests were a nod to those that applauded the original ones. I'm sure there will be more in the future, especially if the quests seem 'unfinished'. (I have yet to do the new ones.)

I'm not sure if there will be a 'point' to them in the end, though. Maybe we'll get some novelty item. Maybe it will unlock another questline. Either way, it's still a fun little side quest that gives the game a bit more character... just like the 'dreams' you can have.

Hildebrand was in that quest, he's inside the instance when you talk to the dude.

And he says something very ironic. It's kinda funny.

Make sure to log out in the uldah in from the bed once you accept usual suspects. that will get things to progress. I dont know how long you need to be out of the game though.

You need to do it first in Ul'dah, then in Gridania, and finally in Limsa Lominsa. That's what I've heard, and it seemed true in my experience.

I guess people haven't figured out that there's three parts to this quest.
