What's a piece of Gender Locked gear that you wish wasn't gender locked?

For me the answer is simple--the Makai headpieces that are the butterfly hair clips.

They're so cute and I don't understand why they're gender locked still. My fear is that the event will come and go and Square will forget to un-gender lock them until the next time it comes (if it ever comes back).

For me, it's the Valentione's event from a year or so back, I want that tux so bad.

That particular piece may not be Square's call, since it's part of a cross-promotion with GARO, so it may be the rightsholder of GARO (TV Tokyo I think?) that is forbidding that.

Entire makai sets.
Males’ shorts—Female Speedos.

But if I want to be completely honest? All of them, really.

Oh the valentione tights are another piece that I wish male characters could wear! And the female version of the Nezha coat.

The Type-51 legs that inexplicably turn into a pair of panties if you happen to have an xx chromosome. It's like SE is afraid to give ladies a pair of shorts. Don't they know shorts are comfy and easy to wear?

no it's almost certainly the devs' fault. these are the people who gave us that travesty of a set for the monster hunter collab after all. "eorzean interpretation" lol.

Because Capcom and TV Tokyo are the exact same company with the exact same cross-promotion contract. That's why the MonHun collab isn't a permanent part of the game. Wait, it is, while the GARO collab was time-limited by the contract between Square and TV Tokyo? You mean not every crossover contract is identical? ¡Que sorpresa!

They allowed female characters to wear the best man suit and the Loyal Butler gear, so I assume the Valentione gear will be unlocked at some point soon?

Before we talk about Gender locked items, we need to talk about job specific locked gear. Wolf mark job specific gear FOR OPENERS needs to be opened up to ALL JOBS. Then we can also talk about RACE specific gear.
