Is there a way to unlock my house but lock the workshop?

It's ridiculous how everyone in the workshop will also get a cutscene when working on the workshop. Is there a way around that, just in case, someone goes inside and afk's. I'd have to wait for them to finish the cutscene. It's ridiculous.

You don't have to wait for them, you can cancel/skip the cutscene yourself and just carry on doing whatever you want, including doing something that starts a new cutscene. The person who's AFK will continue to get them, but it has no impact on you at all.

I cannot continue until they finished their cutscenes. It just happened to me.

That's unusual, as I normally just (cancel the cutscene) and keep going while the others have the filmstrip icon. Party or not doesn't matter for me.

What exactly were you doing in the workshop? Making one of the three part stages, or sending out a voyage? If a voyage - sub or airship?

It's only happening when you build submarines or housing skin. Everyone who enter workshop will get the cutscene even if you're not party with them :)
